Trini should be in finals

THE EDITOR: As a television viewer of Calypso Fiesta on Saturday, it’s my opinion that the Mighty Trini and his rendition 101 Per Cent were worthy of being included in the finals of the Calypso Monarch competition.

I thought his song was topical, well presented, with matching lyrics, good melody, and was indeed well accepted by the crowd.

I am not of the one per cent family but being 100 per cent Trini to de bone who has been following the event annually, I can say the adjudicators judged something that I missed in Trini’s performance.

Congratulations on your performance, Mighty Trini and better luck next time around.
