Minority hopes to move into office soon

Minority members of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) - leader Watson Duke, Assemblyman Farley Augustine, and Councillor Faith BYisrael - are hopeful of moving into their official office at #2 Hamilton Street, Scarborough shortly, two years after being sworn into office.

Speaking at Minority Council press briefing on Tuesday at James park, opposite the Assembly’s Legislature in Scarborough, BYisrael reported that furniture has been procured and work was taking place prepare the building for occupation.

“We were promised that by the middle of this month we should the key. We are hoping he Office of the Chief Administrator and the Office of the Chief Secretary are holding to their word and would allow us to move in by next month,” she said.

After capturing two seats in the 2017 THA elections, the Minority, members of the People’s Democratic Patriots (PDP) have been conducting press briefings and other official business at the open air venue that is James Park.
