Enough with loud music

THE EDITOR: Why is it that just about every two-bit bar in this country feels they must play their music for listening outside their premises, often at annoyingly loud levels without regard for neighbours?

This seems now to be the norm, with little or no action apparently being taken to address this problem. I have heard many a visitor, both foreign and from the sister isle complain about this, with many having visited the island to escape noise, only to be bombarded at every turn on the island by this total disregard for others.

It is especially annoying for who happens to be staying at guest facilities within earshot of the offending bars. It is high time this situation be addressed either legislatively (if need be) or by simply enforcing existing relevant laws.
