GATEWAY to the World presents Welcome Home on February 1, at the old Piarco International Airport car park from 8 pm.

Member of the organising committee Major Al Alexander said: “We envision the feeling of coming home for Carnival, the anticipation of family, food and soca. These elements will echo through the night as we capture the different elements of Carnival.”

As usual there will be a fine cast of performers that include Kes the Band, Karma and the A-team, as well as lots of guest performances by the likes of Farmer Nappy, Patrice Roberts, Nadia Batson, Ricardo Drew, Shal, 5Star Akil and lots more surprise artistes.

Alexander assured: “This year’s performances will once again have patrons feteing all night and creating memories with beautiful people, friends and family.”

He added that as the committee continues to improve and enhance feters’ experience at Gateway to the World, it’s their passion to achieve perfection every year.

“In 2019 we have increased our food offerings with dishes from fine caterers that will leave your taste buds in total euphoria reminiscing on memories of home-cook food. And nestled within our food court would be a lounge area where patrons can sit and enjoy their meals while viewing the night’s entertainment on the various screens that will be installed in this area.”

Over the years the bars have been known to be well stocked with a variety of drinks. Alexander said the committee will continue to do so this year with the inclusion of new zones.

Tickets are available online.
