Energy company directors named

DIRECTORS have been named for the boards Heritage Petroleum Company Ltd, Paria Fuel Trading Company and Guaracara Refining Company Ltd. These three companies were formed as part of the restructuring of state oil company Petrotrin last year.

A government source said former Petrotrin chairman Wilfred Espinet will chair the boards of Heritage and Paria. Other members of the board of Heritage are Reynold Ajodhasingh, Selwyn Lashley, Joel Harding, Claire Gomez-Miller and George Leonard-Lewis.

Other members of the Paria board include Eustace Nancis, Linda Rajpaul and Christine Sahadeo. Nancis is chairman of the National Lotteries Control Board. Sahadeo is a former Port Authority chairman. She also served as minister in the ministry of finance in the former Patrick Manning administration from May 13, 2003 - November 7, 2007.

Members of the board of Guaracara Refining Company include Nigel Edwards, Anthony Chan Tack, Peter Clarke and Sahadeo.

Heritage will handle exploration and production activites while Paria and Guaracara will handle trading and marketing, respectively. Petrotrin as an entity will remain as a company to deal with legacy matters. All of these companies fall under the umbrella of Trinidad Petroleum Holding Company Ltd.
