No one held for P/Town double murder

A WEEK after two men were shot dead at King Street, Princes Town, no one has been held for this crime. Police from the Homicide Bureau Region III and the Princes Town police are continuing investigations at this time.

In the wee hours of the morning of January 8, Oswald Alleyne, 63, of Torrib Tabaquite Road, New Grant, and Mark Stephen, 41, of Valley Lane, King Street, were shot and killed.

Alleyne was in his car on King Street after picking up Stephen, a coworker, when a man approached and shot them, then ran off. Both men died on the spot. The two worked for an offshore company in Port of Spain. Stephen’s funeral was held on January 11 at the Princes Town RC Church.
