Men held moments after robbery

Two alleged bandits are sitting in a holding cell at a Diego Martin police station after trying to rob a pizzeria on the Western Main Road just after lunchtime yesterday.

The two men were nabbed by Four Roads police led by Insp Godfrey Vincent,.

At about 12.30 pm yesterday, two men, one with a gun, entered Domino's Pizza, which is across the street from the Starlite Plaza on the Diego Martin Main Road, and announced a robbery.

The bandits grabbed cash from the cash register and tried to escape, but someone called the police, who caught one of the bandits while he was still in the store. The second was collared moments after, while trying to run away.

The two men are expected to be charged after an investigation.
