Chaguanas cops arrest man, close drug lab

A 42-YEAR-OLD Freeport man remains in police custody after he was arrested at home for possession of cocaine and items used in the making of drugs.

Police said that at about 8.30 am on Sunday, members of the Chaguanas Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and Central Division Task Force visited the man's home where they found 924 grams of cocaine. Police also found a makeshift lab on the top floor outfitted with various utensils and paraphernalia used to make cocaine.

He was taken into custody and is expected to be charged today after members of the Organised Crime and Investigations Unit test some of the instruments seized.
