Cops investigate fire-bombing of two cars

Four Roads police are investigating the fire-bombing of two cars at Upper Union Road, Four Roads, Diego Martin on Tuesday.

The bombings happened at about 4 am. In the first incident, at about 11 pm on Monday, Vinni Goring, 29, parked his black Nissan Sylphy car outside his home. He awoke at about 4 am, and saw the car on fire.

Firemen from the Four Roads station went to the scene and prevented the fire from spreading to a nearby home. The car was destroyed.

While officers were still there, they received a report of another car on fire. They went to the home of Ben Bascombe, 49, who reported that at about 4 am, he heard an explosion, after which he saw his son’s silver Nissan Wingroad wagon on fire.

Firemen were able to out the fire, but that car was already destroyed.

Police believe that the two incidents are connected, and are investigating.
