Cop arrest two, seize ammunition belonging to TTPS

President of the Police Social and Welfare Association Insp Michael Seales is demanding that Police Commissioner Gary Griffith utilise all resources to find out how two Arima men came to be in possession of 23 rounds of ammunition purported to belong to the police service.

The suspects remain in police custody but have not given any useful information about who gave them the ammunition.

On Sunday around 1.50 pm, officers of the Northern Division Task Force were on patrol when they stopped a silver Almera with two men in their late 20s. Police searched the car and seized a Glock pistol, an extended magazine with 23 rounds of 9mm ammunition.

When they took a closer look at the ammunition they noticed TTPS markings.
