A St James couple remains traumatised at their home after being robbed at gunpoint on New Years’ Day morning.

The victims, Marlon Mc Pherson, 47, a financial advisor and Sandy Beharry, 38, a pharmaceutical assistant, were in the driveway of their home after ringing in the new year when they were approached by three bandits, one armed with a gun.

The bandits ordered McPherson and Beharry into their home and tied them up before ransacking the house and taking $7,000 a phone valued $3,000 and some jewellery.

They also stole Beharry’s Navara van valued $125,000.

Mc Pherson managed to untie himself and called St James police.

Investigations are continuing.
