Sea lots man, 55, first murder in 2019

A 55-year-old Sea Lots man became the first murder victim for 2019 after he was beaten to death near a scrap yard.

The body of Daniel Mahabir, a scavanger, was found at around 10.30 am by contractor Nizam Taylor, on Concession Drive, Sea Lots.

Police said Mahabir was found with a concrete boulder on his head, and believed he may have gotten into an argument with another man sometime last night.
