Couple dies in accident at Williamsville

A Princes Town couple died early this morning when their car slammed into a utility pole at Ben Lomond Village, Williamsville.

Police identified the latest accident victims as Deokaran Panilal, 61, and his wife Rookmin, 50, who lived at Garth Road.

Residents reported that about 1.30 am the crash awakened them and upon checking, they found the occupants dead. Police believe Panilal was driving and lost control of the car.

Gasparillo police including PCs Guerrero and Ramcharan visited the scene. A district medical officer visited and ordered the removal of the bodies to the mortuary of the San Fernando General Hospital.
