Don't sabotage our Heritage

THE EDITOR: Four acts of sabotage to date at the new Heritage Company sites say that ignorant, hateful behaviour could allegedly have the support of the OWTU.

One can understand bitterness at the enforced closure of the Petrotrin refinery, but what about sending the message that Government is helpless to prevent deliberate gratuitous sabotage? Is it allegedly political sabotage? Why destroy what you might eventually own? Had the political shoe been worn on the other political foot would you want acts of sabotage?

The general elections of 2020 loom on the horizon. Will the OWTU be well and truly able to walk the talk about reopening the refinery? Oil revenue is falling and it would appear that the Petrotrin refinery closure just managed to make it before the doors closed on their toes regarding outstanding debts.

Picking weeping wounds is what can be read into encouraging sabotage by not openly denying each and any illegal activity around the Heritage Company sites.

Who in their right mind will condone physical danger to the men, women and children who live close to heritage sites? Why label yourself as being wantonly malicious?

It's almost 2019, let us move on. No Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) could have been lived to the letter of the word.

We straight up and frankomen ran out of money to pay salaries, grease pockets, indulge egos and talk unbridled nonsense. Seems to me that management/government/everybody were all even more helpless than they are willing to let on.

Crapaud smoked every body pipe, big time.

Please let us end the dangerous sabotaging of oil wells.
