Missing girl, 16, found alive

A 16-YEAR-OLD girl who went missing on Christmas Day has been found, police said last evening.

Amilya Singh of Cap-de-Ville, Erin, was last seen near her home at about 2 am on Tuesday.

Relatives searched the village for her, then went to the Erin Police Station and reported her missing.

In an earlier release, the police said the teen is of East Indian descent, five foot two inches tall and slim-built.

She was last seen wearing a blue nightgown. However, at about 7 pm, police reported on Twitter that Singh had been found in the forest in Buenos Ayres at 4.45 pm, after an extensive joint exercise search.

No other details were provided in the post.
