Radio deejay will be laid to rest on Saturday

The funeral service for Christopher "DJ Chris" Seon will be held on Saturday at St Margaret Anglican Church, Belmont.

Seon, 45, died on Sunday after being hospitalised for a week. He was diabetic and checked himself into hospital after feeling sick. He was diagnosed with a lung infection and later developed pneumonia.

Seon was a father of one daughter, and partner of meteorologist Seigonie Mohammed.

One of his colleagues, who spoke with Newsday on condition of anonymity, said while they did not know he had any serious illness, but knew he was diabetic, and were shocked to hear of his death.

When contacted, Mohammed said she could not talk as she was on her way to the hospital.
