Officer dies in early-morning highway accident

A POLICE officer died after a car accident along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway early this morning.

PC Heston Davidson of the Northern Division Task Force area west, was heading east in his silver Nissan B14 car at around 1 am when the car struck a median. The car collided with a tree near the Devon Biscuit Factory, Arima.

Davidson, who was alone, died at the scene.

"The TT Police Service wishes to extend its deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of PC Davidson," police said in a statement.
