Hetmyer hits the T20 big league jackpot

THE EDITOR: West Indies cricket rising batting star Shimron Hetmyer is heading down to India to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

This move by Hetmyer has shown that he is willing to join other West Indian soldiers of fortune in the T20 leagues.

After a brilliant tour of India where he belted the Indian bowlers, pace and spin, in scintillating displays, it was only natural that the IPL would come knocking on his door with a fistful of dollars.

Hetmyer, a cricket batting sensation, said after the tour he would like to give West Indies cricket more of his playing skills, but that turned out to be ole talk, as he is now on the way to the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The young cricketer’s move to the IPL is another blow that will hit the West Indies team where it hurts. Chief selector Courtney Brown and his merry band of selectors should start planning their teams without the services of Hetmyer as he is headed for the IPL, Big Bash and other T20 leagues.
