Grateful for the walkover

THE EDITOR: I am eternally grateful for the new walkover in the Sea Lots area. A walkover is a most crucial pedestrian safety measure needed on our busy highways.

I feel a high level of relief driving in the vicinity and not having to dodge pedestrians with my vehicle as I conduct my daily errands along the Beetham Highway.

I am also pleased with the decorative lights that adorn the walkover and illuminate the area. It is quite fitting in light of the Christmas holidays.

I also feel a sense of pride and joy every time I drive by as it is more than a structure. It has become a national symbol of safety and pride for Port of Spain.

I take this opportunity to thank the Ministry of Works and Transport for the construction of the walkover. I also encourage the residents of Sea Lots and environs to please use the walkover.
