WASA main leaks in Beetham

A leak on a water main near the Beetham Highway should be fixed today.
The leak was noticed this morning spouting gallons of water several feet into the air in Beetham Gardens near the highway.
WASA (Water and Sewerage Authority) communications manager, Daniel Plenty, said the company was aware of the situation but he could not confirm when exactly it would be repaired or if citizens’ water supply would be disrupted.
The leak comes after the water supply in Port of Spain and communities along the East-West Corridor was disrupted when a blown air valve affected operations at the Caroni North Transmission Main. WASA on Friday said the valve was repaired and water would be restored to all communities by today.
