ST FRANCOIS Nationals clinched the Fruta-sponsored Northern Football Association (NFA) FA Cup title, with a 2-0 win over Cantaro FC in Wednesday’s final at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo.

Former Defence Force and Caledonia AIA striker Odelle Armstrong broke the deadlock in the 31st minute, and Kareem Frederick got St Francois’ second goal in the 45th.

According to a media release from the organisers All Sport Promotions, “There are a couple matters that the disciplinary committee and NFA committee have to meet to officially complete the (2018) season.”

However, Miscellaneous Laventille United and North Coast SCC copped the Premier and Championship Division titles respectively.

Tomorrow, the attention will turn to the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva, as the NFA Select All-Star team will face Club Sando in an exhibition game from 7 pm.
