Cops lock down key areas in search of Sukhdeo

Members of the Special Operations Response Team (SORT) and the Anti-Kidnapping Unit (AKU) locked down parts of the country for several hours after they received information that kidnap victim Sheldon Sukhdeo was being transported in a car.

Police maintained positions between North and South hoping to find the man but the information was unsuccessful.

On Wednesday, kidnappers allowed Sheldon to speak with his brother Ceron and mother Angela for close to four minutes.

During the conversation, Ceron and Angela were told that kidnappers wanted $2 million for Sheldon’s safe return. However, relatives close to Sheldon said family members are not willing to pay any ransom and are hoping he is found alive.
