Teen on murder charge

A 17-year-old has appeared in the Port of Spain Children’s Court, charged with last month’s murder of a plumbing contractor in Sangre Grande.

The boy, also of Sangre Grande, was charged on Monday by PC Joseph for the murder of John Bocage, police said in a statement.

Bocage was with friends at Cyprus Bar, on the Eastern Main Road, Sangre Grande, on November 23, when he was stabbed in the abdomen.

He was taken to the Sangre Grande Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
