DIRECTOR of the Police Complaints Authority (PCA) David West has assured relatives of people who died at the hands of police bullets that all investigations are being actively pursued.

From January 1 until yesterday, over 20 men were felled by police bullets. Compared with the same period last year there were over 30 police killings.

Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith has already stated publicly that if officers are attacked they will shoot to kill and he made no apologies for stating this.

Yesterday, West confirmed that investigators assigned to the PCA have been out in the field pursuing all investigations with the intention of bringing closure so that recommendations could be made to the relevant authorities.
