Elderly couple robbed at home

AN elderly Felicity couple remains traumatised following a home invasion on Wednesday in which they were tied up, threatened, and robbed of cash and household items. Central Division police are searching for the three suspects who are believed to be from a nearby village.

Kaloutie Chanda, 62, and her husband Chanda Kanhai, 66, were at their Boundary Road, Felicity home around 6.54 pm when three men armed with a gun and cutlasses entered through an open door.

Senior officers are advising members of the public, especially elderly people living alone, to secure their homes and be alert to any strange people in their street or in the area where they live.
