La Brea police investigates rape of woman, 25

A 25-year-old La Brea woman has reported to police that she was sexually assaulted by an intruder who overpowered her in her bedroom around 4 am on Tuesday.

The alleged victim said she was asleep when a man entered her bedroom, and placed his hands over her mouth. He then threatened her with violence if she screamed.

When the offender left, the woman went to the La Brea police station to make a report.

She was medically examined by Dr Sinanan and a police started searching for the suspect.
