Homicide officers question suspects in cop’s killing

Two suspects ages 20 and 28 from Peytonville, Arima who were detained on Monday night by Northern Division police in connecting with the shooting death of Constable Kryston Ramirez were questioned for hours by homicide officers.

The two were detained and their homes searched for arms and ammunition and other illegal items by a team of officers led by Assistant Commissioner of Police McDonald Jacob in the Carapo and Arima districts.

The 24-hour exercise, titled Operation Strike Back, began on Monday and ended early Tuesday.
