TOBAGO East MP Ayanna Webster-Roy yesterday said the police have not contacted her about a complaint made against her by singer Nirmal "Massive" Gosein.

On his Facebook page, Gosein said he reported Webster-Roy to the Marabella Police Station after being “verbally abused and threatened” by Webster-Roy and her husband.

On Sunday, Webster-Roy said Gosein was “well within his rights” to make a report, but that neither she nor her husband had threatened him.

In a brief telephone interview, Webster-Roy said her husband has no issue with giving out his number to the police and said she will contact Marabella Police Station and give them her husband's number.

Asked whether she planned to file a report against Gosein for alleged harassment against her, she responded, "I would rather not discuss that."

Housing Minister Edmund Dillon supported Webster-Roy's actions.

Dillon and Webster-Roy were amongst a group of 16 government members whose personal cell phone numbers were released over the weekend by former minister Devant Maharaj. Finance Minister Colm Imbert, Foreign and Caricom Affairs Minister Dennis Moses and Diego Martin Central MP Daryl Smith were also among the group. Webster-Roy said via social media that she would defend herself against any harassment.

Speaking with reporters after a housing distribution ceremony at the Vieux Fort housing development in St James yesterday, Dillon said, "I heard that she dealt with it quite succinctly."

On his own number being released, Dillon said, "I have no problem with that whatsoever." He added, "You in the media have my phone number. I gave it willingly. I give it to people who want it.

"What I have a problem with," he added, "is the way in which it was done. It was done in a devious manner."
