GOD’S wrath will soon be unleashed on Trinidad and Tobago if we don’t change our ways, warned Mother Yvette Adams, as she led 250 Spiritual Baptists on a prayer march through Port of Spain yesterday, with a police escort. She took time out from preaching admonitions to the public to talk to Newsday on Frederick Street while her colleagues sang rousing hymns.

“I’m Mother Yvette Adams from the Water of Life Spiritual Baptist Tabernacle in Couva. What happened is that I have had more than one vision but all of them pertain to a tsunami that would hit this country and an earthquake at the same time.”

She said her congregation originally planned to hold a prayer walk next year, but had brought forward their plans. “God has asked us to tell people He is angry. People should gather together at every street corner and beg for mercy upon Trinidad and Tobago.”

Adams said God is angry that everybody wants to do as they please. “They want to speak as they want. They want to carry on as they like. Women are wearing close-fitting pants in the street, sitting with their legs open. Women in churches are worshipping without any covering over their hair.”

Adams said God is warning that people are going against the grain of His word, and because of that He wants to destroy Trinidad and Tobago.

“But as we know, God never destroys without sending a warning. That is why He has asked me to come out with people and pray on every street corner and beg for mercy.”
