Double murder in Vega De Oropouche

Eastern Division police are at the scene of what appears to be a double homicide at the squatter settlement at Vega De Oropouche, Sangre Grande.

The bodies of a man and woman with gunshot wounds were found in a house shortly after 8.30 am by neighbours of the victims.

Assistant Commissioner of Police McDonald Jacob said the woman lived in the area but the male victim is believed to be from Belmont.
