Cop’s murder, a hit from inside

Homicide investigators probing the shooting death of PC Kryston Ramirez at a Carapo bar on Sunday are working on information that his killing was ordered by a high-risk prisoner.

Sources revealed that a girlfriend of the prisoner was liming at Classy Bar, off O’Meara Road South, near the Santa Rosa racetrack, on Sunday hours before the murder when she became disruptive and was put out of the bar by Ramirez, who was moonlighting in an effort to make extra money.

The woman reportedly told Ramirez she would deal with him. The constable did not report the threat to senior officers and stayed at the bar.

Around 2.30 pm on Sunday two masked men came in and one of them, armed with a gun, fired the shot that killed Ramirez.

None of the customers were robbed and the gunmen did not announce a hold-up. After shooting Ramirez they escaped.
