Cops in shootout at Maloney

Two police officers patroling close to Building 16, Maloney, were shot at by a group of men shortly after 11.30 pm on Sunday.

PCs Lezama and Thomas of the Emergency Response Patrol shot back and detained a 26-year-old man of the area who was found with a Glock pistol and 16 rounds of ammunition. As the police were taking him away, they were shot at again and returned fire.

They found another Glock pistol with an extended magazine and four rounds of ammunition.
