Maloney man gunned down

POLICE are investigating the shooting death of a Maloney man on Friday night.

Troy Mitchell, 32, of Parakeet Terrace, Maloney Gardens was standing near his home with his girlfriend, Sade Isadore, 31, at about 11.30 pm when a white wagon pulled up and one of the occupants opened fire.

Isadore ran a short distance and collapsed while Mitchell fell where he stood. Isadore was taken to the Arima Health Facility and then to the Eric Williams Medical Complex, Mt Hope where she is warded in a stable condition. Mitchell's death pushes the murder rate to 502.
