Wounded man dies at hospital: Murder toll 501

Shooting victim Ancil Edwards became the country's 501st murder victim when he died of gunshot wounds at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex last night.

Edwards aka "B,",was shot ten times in La Horquetta on December 2, while walking along David Bloom Drive at around 8 pm.

Residents heard gunshots and saw Edwards lying in a pool of blood.

He was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex and had been warded at the Intensive Care Unit for more than ten days.

Investigators have not yet established a motive for the shooting.
