ROHAN SINANAN, Minister of Works and Transport, yesterday became the fourth Cabinet Minister to have his personal cellphone number publicly disclosed by activist Devant Maharaj.

The disclosure came initially in a mass emailing, which accompanied an announcement from the TT Inter Isle Transport Company advising that two sailings of the Galleon’s Passage would be cancelled on Friday, that is the 6 am trip from Trinidad and the 4 pm trip from Tobago, with affected passengers to travel on the T&T Spirit at 6.30 am and 4 pm respectively.

“In response to many disappointed passengers of the Galleons Passage and the Tobago business people who have all called me following yet another cancellation of the vessel, I recommend that they call Minister Rohan Sinanan,” Maharaj indicated.

“These persons directly affected by yet another cancellation have complained about being unable to get a direct answer about the reliability and suitability of the Galleons Passage on the sea bridge from the Port Authority and NIDCO, I recommend calling Minister Sinanan who has always boasted about the suitability of the vessel.”

Previously Maharaj released the cellphone numbers of Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley, Minister of National Security Stuart Young and Education Minister Anthony Garcia.

Yesterday in reply to Government claims his disclosures were a risk to national security, Maharaj told Newsday that all business of the National Security Council is conducted not on personal cell-phones but by way of specially-issued phones.
