Chinese restaurant chef grazed by stray bullet

A 46-year-old chef identified as Daron Jahoo was grazed in the head by a stray bullet, escaping death during a robbery at a Chinese restaurant in St Joseph last night.

At about 9 pm employees of Liu Wok Chinese restaurant at Maracas Royal Road, St Joseph were working when three men with guns entered and said they had come to rob the restaurant.

They fled with about $11,000, including money stolen from the pockets of workers.

Another member of staff, Ruth Monsegue, 33, was also injured. Both were taken to hospital.

St Joseph police are continuing enquiries.
