CXC invigilator wants payment

Evelyn Lisa Alexander, 51, is calling on the education ministry to pay invigilators for supervising June CXC examinations.

Speaking with Newsday today, Alexander said she has been informed some invigilators have been paid, while others are awaiting payment.

She said the situation is unfair and the Minister of Education should look into the matter.

“For June CXC exam the ministry called and asked me be a supervisor because whoever was their supervisor for the day did not turn up. I went to the ministry to get the full package with my name and everything. I worked at a school named Eternal Life Community Vocational School which is a special school right after Macoya.”

Alexander said after finishing all the requirements for the day, she took all her documents to the ministry for a final check.
