Arima teen robbed of chain and phone
Members of the Arima CID are on the hunt for two men who robbed a 17-year-old student of the Arima North Secondary School of his gold chain valued at $4,000 and a Huawei cellphone valued at $2,000.
According to reports at around 6.45 pm yesterday, the teen was walking along Queen Street, Arima, when he was approached by two men who pushed him against a wall and ordered him to give them his chain.
When the teen resisted, one of the men raised his t-shirt, showing a pistol tucked into the waistband of his pants.
The teenager complied and the bandits ran away.
The boy flagged down a passing police car and told the officers. He was taken to the Arima police station where he made a report.
Police said they have a "good description" of the men and believe arrests are imminent.
