Just ban them

THE EDITOR: Could we stop all the talk about fireworks and scratch bombs and the like and just ban the import and sale of them period?

The law should be that only the Fire Services be allowed to set off the devices and within confined and stipulated areas, and that anyone caught breaking the law be charged $100,000 and six months imprisonment.

Some may say the fine is too stiff, but if we are to put a stop to the rampant use of these devices without any consideration for others, so be it.
