The Love Movement

THE EDITOR: I love the theatre. When I lived in New York my favourite recreation would be to attend whatever Broadway show I could get last-minute tickets for at the TKTS booth in Times Square. My favourite shows were always musicals.

On Friday night, I saw the most uplifting concert at Queens Hall – Colours of His Love presented by The Love Movement. I was so inspired by it I had to rush home and pen this letter to share my experience with the whole world. There were songs from the movies The Greatest Showman, Disney's Frozen and a medley that captured the magic of Andrew Lloyd Webber's hits from Evita, Cats, and Phantom of the Opera to name a few.

I was so enchanted at the range of talent by the cast of the choir and the individual singers that, if I didn't know better, I would have thought that I was at a Broadway show in Manhattan.

There was also some virtuoso steelband music that blew me away. The sets were impressive, the choreography superb, the stage lighting amazing, and the costumes outstanding. Kudos to the entire company and its founder and talent extraordinaire Bernadette Laughlin Scott under whose guidance these gifted children blossomed and the adults bloomed. These talented children and adults could compare to the best in the world. Broadway would be envious of your abilities. Bravo!
