Really for the poor

THE EDITOR: The 2019 budget has been acclaimed as a poor man’s budget. This is so true.

It has left the middle class $1 poorer for every litre of super gas he uses every day. The rich benefits from the fact that there was no increase in the price of premium gasoline.

The fact that it is the rich who provides goods and services to the middle class, through the fleet of vehicles that he owns also makes him benefit from the untouched price of diesel.

Oh, how I wish I were born into the powerful one percent.
