Share steel orchestra with world

THE EDITOR: One of the best kept secrets in TT is the National Steel Symphony Orchestra. This magnificent orchestra of fantastic musically literate players should not be only practising, looking towards its next local assignment, this band should be touring the great concert capitals of the world.

The Ministry of Culture and the Arts has to be “bepping” as it sits on this gold mine.

Really, the orchestra has the musical ammunition to be a world player. How to achieve this? Simply – with agents on both sides of the Atlantic.

I have followed the journey of the orchestra now in its 11th year and it’s my respectful view that it is ready to take on the world. Let’s go for it. Am I being presumptuous in saying watch out world, here comes the National Steel Symphony Orchestra of TT?
