Select person best suited for to be CoP

THE EDITOR: After reading several articles on why Gary Griffith will make or not make a change to the office of Police Commissioner, if appointed, my honest opinion is that he will make a drastic change in bettering the present low detection rate of crime.

There must however be full support from within the service and not a negative lack of as indicated by the president of the Police Service Social and Welfare Association. If this attitude of non-support continues, then maybe the Government should change the selection process to suit the association. But then what guarantee is there that their choice will make to the necessary change that’s needed. Its time that lawmakers understand and support entirely without hesitation whoever is appointed Police Commissioner and team up with him/her

to make TT a better place for us to live and enjoy.
