While waiting for new CoP

THE EDITOR: It seems easy to me that the head of each police division in TT could take 100 per cent charge of their own little fiefdom.

Until the money can be found to restart the entire process for the appointment of a Commissioner of Police, each senior superintendent should micromanage their officers and crime prevention strategies for each jurisdiction.

They could all meet once a week to compare notes with the Minister of National Security.

There would be some healthy competition with police officers anxious to prove whose jurisdiction has achieved the most in all areas of crime control.
