PRISONS Commissioner, Gerard Wilson, last night commended two of his officers who foiled a robbery and arrested two of the four suspects.

Speaking last night with reporters, Wilson said he was thankful to God that his officers were not wounded in the shootout.

"I just want to say thank God that these two officers were not wounded and are still alive and hope that these people who were apprehended...I hope justice prevails."
Wilson said one of his officers was entering Jun Lin's supermarket when he saw it was being robbed.

He immediately went to his car and was followed by one of the four bandits who opened fire on him.

Wilson said the police responded quickly.
"This is really an experience for the prison service, this is a learning experience for all of us. I commended the officer for stopping, he was calm and they were able to apprehend two of them" Wilson said.
