The Judiciary says contrary to statements made in the Senate in June, it has filed accounts with the Auditor General for the years 2013 to 2017.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Judiciary’s Court Protocol and Information Unit said claims that the Judiciary has not produced accounts to the Auditor General “damages the integrity of the Judiciary and its accounting officers during this period.”

The statement said the claims were made by a member of the Senate on June 21.

It did not name the Senator who allegedly made the statement, but said the Judiciary has written to the Auditor General, the Senator to whom the statement was attributed and the Clerk of the Senate to have the record addressed.
