Harricharan, Mohammed clinch U-10 doubles crown

THE DUO of Brian Harricharan and Rizwan Mohammed clinched the Boys Under-10 doubles crown, on Saturday, at the Trinidad Country Club, Maraval.

Action was in the Lease Operators Limited-sponsored Junior Tennis Tournament.

The Harricharan-Mohammed tandem defeated the pair of Finn De Freitas and Adam MacKenzie 4-0, 5-3.

There was another match on the day, in the quarter-final phase of the Senior Boys Doubles, with Scott Hackshaw and Luca Shamsi getting past Adam Escalante and Josh Gonsalves 6-1, 6-2.

In related news, a number of matches, which were originally set to take place on Saturday, were postponed due to the unavailability of players – who are currently undergoing end of year school examinations.

As a result, matches will be contested this week, from Thursday until Saturday.
