Have a heart

THE EDITOR: It’s about time the Public Transport Service Corporation takes a serious look at providing handrails for the elderly and other commuters who use the City Gate transit hub.

Over the years I have seen the elderly struggle to climb the stairway leading to the loading bays. I am requesting that the PTSC administration look at all areas where handrails will make life more comfortable for the elderly. The corporation should also clamp down on maxi-taxi drivers dropping off passengers at undesignated areas. Some drivers are releasing passengers at the loading bays who then have to climb the stairs (without handrails) to depart the transit hub. Come on PTSC and maxi-taxi drivers, have a heart and some compassion for the elderly.
