Kudos for successful SEA

THE EDITOR: The more than 19,000 students have completed the 2018 SEA Examination and are now enjoying a well-deserved rest from their academic studies. This year, from all reports, the Exam was conducted very successfully in both Trinidad and Tobago without any major problems.

The successful administration of any Examination involving such a large number of students is no easy task and the Ministry of Education deserves kudos.

In previous years, the exam was affected by issues such as leaked exam papers, late starts and other administrative mistakes.

Judging from all reports in the media this year, principals, teachers and parents must be congratulated for their efforts in supporting and encouraging their children through the years leading up to the day of the examination.

I was also glad to read, even TTUTA expressed satisfaction over the successful implementation of the examination by the Ministry of Education and pledged its support.

This is a very good example of co-operation and collaboration among education bodies. These efforts will only benefit the students and the education system in the long run.
