A PETIT Valley man who police said was well-known to them, was among two people killed in a drive by shooting yesterday. The victims have been identified as Allan Lopez and Jordan Gibbs. Three others were wounded and were warded at Hospital up to press time.

Lopez and Gibbs were liming with a group of friends at Coco Jah in Petit Valley at about 4.10 pm, when a white Nissan AD Wagon pulled up alongside them and the occupants of the car began shooting at the group, before speeding off.

Lopez, Gibbs and three other people were shot multiple times. All five were taken to hospital where Lopez and Gibbs were pronounced dead on arrival.

In an unrelated incident, a mamoral man was shot dead yesterday evening, a stone’s throw away from his home.

According to reports, the victim who was identified only as ‘Deron’ was shot once in the chest while at Tisha’s Parlour on Mamoral Road. The parlour is next to the Mamoral RC School and Deron lived opposite the school.

Residents reported hearing a gunshot around 5.15pm. Initial reports state Deron had an argument with a relative, who opened fire on him before fleeing.

Deron, who was said to be in his early 20’s, was seen lying on the ground in the garage adjacent to the parlour with blood coming from his chest.

Up until 6.30pm, his body was still on the scene as residents said they were told police needed to wait on a District Medical Officer (DMO) before removing his body.
